My First Monday Made It

Woohoo! I'm so excited to be linking up for my first official Monday Made It! I've been working like a mad woman in my classroom, so I definitely have a few things to share that I created today.

Made It # 1

I love cute containers! The one of the left will be to store our brain breaks (obviously - ha!). The container used to have cookies in it and came from a fun store in Savannah called Byrd Cookie Company. The container on the right is from Target (I'm kind of obsessed with their dollar spot... and their purse section... and all of their fun decorating stuff... okay, the entire store!), and it will be used to hold equity sticks.

Made It # 2

I am using composition notebooks for several things this year, and I thought it might be confusing if they all looked the same. So, of course I made fun new labels for them! I printed them, laminated them, and then spray-adhesived (yeah, I'm thinking that's probably not a word) to the covers. Much better! I do still have to add their names to the covers with a label, but I can't do that until I get my class list. You can see close-ups of each one below!

Made It # 3

I was inspired by this pin on Pinterest and decided I just had to have a voice levels sign in my classroom. I made the one below and kind of love it! If you'd like a copy for your own room, you can get it in my TPT store right now for free! Just click here!

Made It # 4

I used to have a behavior clip chart in this spot, and decided to do behavior calendars this year instead. I wanted to have my expectations that went with the calendars hanging in my room, so I made some cute chevron signs to hang up.

Made It # 5

I got sick of looking at an ugly lunch menu with nothing behind it last year, so I made a place mat with scrapbook paper and used my Silhouette Cameo to make some silverware. Once I get August's lunch menu, it will go in the big white space.

Made It # 5

This is my new job chart for this year. There are ten jobs available, and the descriptions are listed for students to know what all they are required to do. I'm trying something different this year and having students fill out an application to apply for the job(s) they would like to do. I plan to change jobs every nine weeks using this process. I'm sure I'll be doing a post later to share how this goes!

I can't wait to see what everyone else has made!

Blog World Here I Come!

Well, after stalking about a million teaching blogs for the last few years, I decided I would jump in and finally start one of my own! I can't wait to share my teaching life with everyone and continue to learn and get new ideas from others!
